Malin Maria Akerman, born on May 12, 1978, in Stockholm, Sweden, is an accomplished actress with a diverse film and television career spanning over two decades. In an alternate 1985 where superheroes known as 'Watchmen' have existed since the 1940s, influencing history by preventing the Vietnam War and keeping Richard Nixon in power, they are now outlawed and forced into retirement. However, some remain active; Eddie Blake (the Comedian) works for the government alongside Dr. Manhattan (Jon Osterman), who monitors nuclear proliferation. When Blake is murdered, Rorschach—the only Watchmen still actively patrolling streets—believes all former heroes are targets. To prevent their demise and uncover the mastermind behind Blake's murder, Rorschach must convince his retired colleagues to reunite and overcome external conspiracies.
