Valentina Lodovini, born in Umbertide and raised in Sansepolcro, Italy, trained at the School of Dramatic Arts in Perugia and later at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia in Rome. After appearing in secondary roles, she gained recognition for her role in 'La giusta distanza' (2007), earning a David di Donatello nomination for Best Actress.
