Arly Jover was born in Melilla, Spain, and raised in Mallorca due to her father's military career. She initially pursued dance, beginning at age 8, but left school at 14 and moved to New York on a scholarship to study ballet under Martha Graham. After two and a half years, she shifted her focus to acting. Her first role was in the TV series 'Women: Stories of Passion' (1996). She then appeared in international films like 'Tango' and 'The Ballad of Johnny-Jane', before making her American film debut as Mercury in 'Blade' (1998).

ストーリー
Gigola follows George, a young woman from an old Catholic family who falls in love with her female teacher Sybil during her teens. After Sybil's eventual suicide, George embarks on a journey to explore Pigalle's nightlife in the 1960s. She meets Odete, a wealthy and attractive older woman, who offers George money and gifts in exchange for sexual favors. George accepts and becomes Gigola, effectively becoming a gigolo for women.
