Six months after losing their only child Joshua in the Southeast Asia tsunami, Jeanne and Paul Bellmer struggle to cope with their grief. While watching footage from Myanmar, Jeanne becomes convinced that a boy wearing a Manchester United shirt in a poor village is Joshua. Despite the unlikely nature of this claim, Paul agrees to investigate. They hire trafficker Thaksin Gao and travel by boat with captain Sonchai into the jungle to find Joshua. Along the way, they encounter strange occurrences that unsettle them further. Sonchai eventually leaves them stranded in an abandoned village. From there, Jeanne, Paul, and Gao must navigate the jungle, facing a harrowing journey filled with horrors.
