Jeane Manson (born Jean Ann Manson on October 1, 1950) was born in Cleveland, Ohio, USA. After being featured as Playboy's Playmate of the Month in August 1974, she moved to France and acted in several films like 'Bons Baisers de Hong Kong' (1975). She gained prominence with her song 'Avant de nous dire adieu'. In 1979, she represented Luxembourg at the Eurovision Song Contest with her song 'J'ai déjà vu ça dans tes yeux'.

In Los Angeles, rookie Detective Paul McAnn and veteran Leo Kessler investigate a double murder in a park where the victims were stabbed by a naked serial killer. Kessler realizes one victim, Betty Johnson, was his daughter Laurie's childhood friend. At the funeral, they learn Betty kept a diary. The killer, Warren Stacy, overhears this and breaks into Betty's apartment to find it but ends up killing her roommate instead. Karen had already given the diary to Kessler. Convinced of Stacy's guilt, Kessler plants evidence in his apartment, but Stacy is released due to McAnn's alleged perjury. Now obsessed with revenge against Kessler, Stacy begins stalking Laurie.
