ストーリー
In Barcelona during and after Spain's civil war (1936-1940), Andrés, a nearly 16-year-old boy, embarks on a journey of self-discovery amidst political turmoil. His Catholic school closes with the outbreak of war, leaving him stranded as his mother is in western Spain. To reunite with her, he joins a Republican battalion. Along the way, he experiences a brief encounter with a countess and develops feelings for the daughter of his commanding officer. Post-war, Andrés returns to Barcelona and lives comfortably with his mother who has become influential despite her controversial political views. He pursues medical studies while juggling relationships with three older women, raising questions about his personal loyalties and the concept of having more than one homeland.
