ストーリー
In Barcelona during and after Spain's civil war (1936-1940), Andrés, a nearly 16-year-old boy, embarks on a journey of self-discovery amidst political turmoil. His Catholic school closes with the outbreak of war, leaving him stranded as his mother is in western Spain. To reunite with her, he joins a Republican battalion. Along the way, he experiences a brief encounter with a countess and develops feelings for the daughter of his commanding officer. Post-war, Andrés returns to Barcelona and lives comfortably with his mother who has become influential despite her controversial political views.
