Rachel Elise Blanchard, born March 19, 1976 in Toronto, Canada, is a Canadian actress who started her career at age eight on the children's show 'The Kids of Degrassi Street'. She gained prominence playing Cher Horowitz in the TV series 'Clueless' and had notable roles in 'Peep Show', 'War of the Worlds', 'Are You Afraid of the Dark?', '7th Heaven', 'Flight of the Conchords', and 'Fargo'. Blanchard also won a Gemini Award for Best Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for her role in 'Call Me Fitz'. She currently stars as Emma Trakarsky in 'You Me Her' since 2016. Despite her extensive career, there's no mention of her involvement or role in the movie 'Nailed (2001)'.

In Atom Egoyan's 'Where the Truth Lies', Karen O'Connor, a young journalist, is tasked in 1972 with convincing Vince Collins, an aging comedian at the tail end of his career, to let her ghostwrite his memoir. Her publishers have two specific issues they want explored from Vince's past: why he and his comedy partner Lanny Morris abruptly ended their successful partnership after a telethon in Miami in 1957, and how college student Maureen O'Flaherty wound up dead in the bathtub of Vince and Lanny's New Jersey hotel room shortly thereafter. Karen, known as the 'Miracle Child', a polio survivor who appeared on the original telethon, is assigned to this task despite there being more renowned writers available. During her research, she discovers that Lanny is writing his own tell-all book, complicating matters further. An anonymous source begins sending Karen upcoming chapters from Lanny's memoir, possibly to mislead her. When Karen finally meets Lanny in person, she conceals her true identity and purpose.
