In the remote wilderness of South Korea, mute Hee-Jin works at a fishing resort, selling baits and food, and occasionally offering her body to tourists for survival. One day, she encounters Hyun-Shik, a man on the run from the police who attempts suicide by drowning himself in the nearby river. Moved by his desperation, Hee-Jin intervenes using a fish hook and saves him.
