In 'Rabid,' directed by David Cronenberg, a young woman named Rose is severely injured in a motorcycle accident and rushed to Keloid Clinic for Plastic Surgery. During her emergency surgery, Dr. Keloid performs an experimental technique which inadvertently causes Rose to awaken with a severe mutation: she develops a stinger-like appendage on her armpit that feeds on blood. Her victims become zombie-like creatures. After fleeing the clinic, Rose heads to Montreal to meet her friend Mindy Kent, leaving a trail of infected victims behind. Meanwhile, her boyfriend Hart is searching for her.
