Daryl Hannah, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, graduated from the University of Southern California (USC). She debuted in Brian De Palma's 'The Fury' (1978) and starred in notable films like Ron Howard's 'Splash' (1984) and Herbert Ross's 'Steel Magnolias' (1989). In 2000, she played Angel in 'Dancing at the Blue Iguana,' a strip-club dancer wishing to adopt a child. She also won a Jury Award from the Berlin International Film Festival for Best Short in 1994 for 'The Last Supper' (1993), which she directed, wrote, and produced.

ストーリー
Allen Bauer is rescued from drowning off Cape Cod by a mermaid when he's young. Years later, Allen returns to the same location and falls into the sea again. This time, he sees the mermaid but isn't sure what he's seen. Using maps from a sunken ship, the mermaid decides to find Allen in New York City, sprouting legs when her tail dries. On finding Allen, they fall in love, but she must keep her secret about being a mermaid to maintain her human form.
