Nadine, a beautiful model, arrives at Victor's villa for a photo shoot but stays longer than expected when Victor challenges her to a game of chess, with his life as the stake. If he loses, he will commit suicide. Over three days, Nadine plays chess and recalls vivid flashbacks of her past: violent incidents on a train journey and intense passion with an unknown man.
