In Abel Ferrara's 'Bad Lieutenant' (1992), a corrupt and immoral New York police lieutenant named Hank is deeply entrenched in his vices. He's drowning in debt from betting on baseball games, fueling his habit with copious amounts of drugs, cavorting with prostitutes, and exploiting teenage girls under his authority.
