In 'The Tailor of Panama', Harry Pendel (Geoffrey Rush), a British tailor living in Panama City, is approached by an MI6 operative named Andrew Havill (Pierce Brosnan) who has been assigned to infiltrate the Panamanian government and gather intelligence about General Noriega. Harry, eager for recognition and money, becomes Andrew's reluctant accomplice. They establish a tailoring shop as a front, where they meet with prominent figures in Panamanian society. Meanwhile, Harry's business partner, Mummy (Leonard Termo), grows suspicious of their activities. As the operation progresses, Harry's lies become increasingly tangled, leading him to betray both Andrew and General Noriega. The film culminates in a dramatic confrontation at the U.S.-Panama invasion, where Harry must face the consequences of his actions.
