Michael 'Mike' Blueberry, a wayward adolescent from Louisiana, is sent to live with his brute of an uncle in the Wild West. After nearly being killed in a brothel brawl by Wallace 'Wally' Blount, Mike is left for dead in the desert but is rescued and nursed back to health by a Chiricahua Apache medicine man's family. Upon recovery, Mike returns to town and becomes its honest deputy marshal. When gold fever strikes, staged Indian brutalities allow rivaling fiends to invade their sacred mountains.
