Margot Robbie, born on July 2, 1990 in Queensland, Australia, began her career acting on the television series 'Neighbours' from 2008 to 2011. She moved to the United States and had a breakthrough role in Martin Scorsese's 'The Wolf of Wall Street' (2013). Robbie gained further recognition for playing Jane Porter in 'The Legend of Tarzan' (2016) and Harley Quinn in DC Extended Universe films, starting with 'Suicide Squad' (2016). She has since received critical acclaim for various roles, including Tonya Harding in 'I, Tonya' (2017), Queen Elizabeth I in 'Mary Queen of Scots' (2018), Sharon Tate in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood' (2019), and a Fox News employee in 'Bombshell' (2019). Based on Jordan Belfort's autobiography, 'Wolf of Wall Street' follows New York stockbroker Jordan Belfort as he rises to a life of wealth and decadence through corrupt and fraudulent means. Starting in the early 1980s, Belfort begins his career as an honest stockbroker but is fired due to 'Black Monday.' He then turns to selling penny stocks and becomes successful, attracting investors and co-founding a brokerage firm called Stratton Oakmont. Alongside his partner Danny Porush, they defraud investors while living a hedonistic lifestyle filled with drugs, sex, and lavish spending. Their corrupt practices eventually catch up with them, leading to an FBI investigation, criminal charges, and the eventual fall of their empire.
