In rural Spain during the 19th century, a charming and attractive traveling vendor named Manuel Blanco Romasanta rolls through villages in his old wagon. Women from each village await him, enchanted by his charisma. However, he harbors a dark secret: he is the notorious 'Werewolf of Allariz,' mutilating and murdering his victims to use their body fat for making soap. Barbara, one of his recent victims who survives his attack, becomes determined to hunt him down and bring him to justice. The film is based on the true-life story of Manuel Blanco Romasanta, who was tried in 1852 and avoided capital punishment by claiming he was a werewolf.
