Murray, a bankrupt bookstore owner, propositions his old friend Fioravante to start a male escort service after Murray's dermatologist, Dr. Parker, expresses her desire for a threesome with her friend Selima and offers $1000 for the arrangement. Fioravante agrees but starts an affair with Avigal, a Hasidic Jewish woman who is the widow of a rabbi. However, their relationship becomes complicated when Dovi, a Jewish neighborhood patrolman in love with Avigal himself, begins to suspect and investigate Fioravante's activities.
