In 'Castle Freak', John Reilly (played by Jeffrey Combs) is sentenced to life imprisonment for blinding his wife with an axe during a fit of rage. After twelve years, he escapes from prison and hides in an abandoned castle where his father once lived. The castle is inhabited by a deformed man named Hercules (played by Jonathan Fuller), who was locked away by John's family decades ago. Hercules, having survived on rats and whatever else he could find, has become violent and savage due to his isolation and mistreatment. John's presence awakens Hercules from his solitary existence, leading to a terrifying battle for survival between the two.
