Elisabeth Judson Shue, born October 6, 1963, is an American actress known for her roles in 'The Karate Kid' (1984), 'Adventures in Babysitting' (1987), 'Cocktail' (1988), and 'Back to the Future Part II & III' (1989-1990). She won acclaim for her performance as Sera, a prostitute who takes in an alcoholic screenwriter played by Nicolas Cage, in 'Leaving Las Vegas' (1995). In the isolated old house where she works as an assistant to animal researcher Phillip, Jane finds herself sharing the residence with Link, a highly intelligent 45-year-old orangutan who serves as the butler.
