Jennifer Shrader Lawrence, born on August 15, 1990 in Louisville, Kentucky, USA, is an American actress. She began her acting career at age 14 after being scouted while vacationing in New York City. Lawrence's breakthrough role was in 'Winter's Bone' (2010), and she gained significant recognition for her roles in 'The Hunger Games' series (2012-2015) and as Mystique in the 'X-Men' films (2011-2019). She won an Academy Award for Best Actress for 'Silver Linings Playbook' (2012), and a BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actress for 'American Hustle' (2013). Lawrence has also starred in 'Beaver', released in 2011, with Mel Gibson.
