Dana Michelle Plato was born on November 7, 1964, in Maywood, California. She rose to fame as Kimberly Drummond in the sitcom Diff'rent Strokes (1978-1986). Post-series, roles were scarce; she acted in TV movies and low-budget films. Plato married Lanny Lambert for seven years, having a son together. In 1991, she was arrested for robbery and later for prescription fraud. On May 8, 1999, aged 34, she died in Moore, Oklahoma, from an apparent Loritab overdose. A coroner's report ruled her death a suicide due to past attempts and the amount of drugs present.
