In 'Tabu' (2012), a restless retired woman in Lisbon, Portugal, named Aurora, becomes obsessed with finding a man from her past life as a farm owner at the foot of Mount Tabu in Africa. After her neighbor's maid, Santa Ilda, passes away, Aurora discovers that she had kept a diary about their time together in Africa. Intrigued by the diary's entries, Aurora decides to embark on a journey to uncover the truth behind the man mentioned within its pages. Teaming up with Santa Ilda's friend, Pilar, they travel across continents and through time, piecing together Aurora's past life and the mystery of the enigmatic man.
