Spartacus: Vengeance (2010) is a Starz television series created by Steven S. DeKnight. The story begins four years after the events of the miniseries 'Spartacus: Blood and Sand'. It follows a new set of gladiators, led by Spartacus' former brother-in-arms, Gannicus (Dustin Clare), as they fight for survival in the gladiatorial arena of Capua. Meanwhile, Spartacus' wife, Laeta (Erin Cummings), is taken captive by the House of Batiatus and forced to marry Glaber (Craig Parker), who was once Spartacus' friend but now serves as the new lanista (owner) of the Ludus (gladiatorial school). The series explores themes of revenge, loyalty, and betrayal as Gannicus and his fellow gladiators strive for freedom while Laeta plots her escape from Glaber.
