Julian Wells was born in San Francisco and raised in Birmingham, Michigan, graduating from Marian High School. She attended NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, majoring in drama. Wells began her career with commercials, bit parts on TV shows like The Sopranos and Entourage, and worked as a body double for stars such as Kim Cattrall. Between 2001 and 2010, she appeared in various B movies and soft erotic films under the name Julian Wells. Later, using the name Suzy McCoppin, she wrote nightlife columns for magazines like Life & Style and The Sun, and hosted podcasts. In 2014, she co-wrote the book 'KissnTell', which was optioned by E! for a TV series.

Best Sex Ever (2002) follows the story of Alex (James Van Der Beek), a young man who discovers that his girlfriend, Jamie (Shannon Sossamon), has been dreaming about having sex with him every night.
