In 'In Extremis', Thomas (Sébastien Roch), a bisexual rent boy leading a hedonistic lifestyle, finds himself suddenly faced with unexpected responsibility when his older lover dies unexpectedly. Left behind is Grégoire (Jeremy Sanguinetti), the deceased's teenage son whom Thomas genuinely loves as his own. However, due to his lifestyle and legal complications, Thomas cannot adopt Grégoire.
