Joanna Pacula, born January 2, 1957, began her acting career in Warsaw Dramatic Theatre, playing roles in Shakespeare's plays like Romeo and Juliet. She acted in films such as Krzysztof Zanussi's Barwy ochronne/Camouflage (1977). In 1981, she was stranded in Paris due to martial law declaration in Poland, eventually emigrating to the U.S. in 1982. Since then, Pacula has specialized in playing European temptresses in American TV shows and movies like Gorky Park (1983), Escape From Sobibor (1987), The Kiss (1988), E.A.R.T.H. Force (CBS, 1990), The Colony (ABC, 1996). She has also appeared in films like Marked for Death (1990), Husbands And Lovers (1992), Tombstone (1993), The Haunted Sea (1997), and Virus (1999). Pacula currently resides in Southern California.

Elizabeth Sheridan, a painter living in Seattle with her wealthy husband Cole who runs a yacht-building company, has an affair with Tony Blanchard, the firm's top designer. They are blackmailed by someone who threatens to expose their infidelity to Cole. Initially, they agree to pay the blackmailer, but things quickly escalate. Two deaths occur, and Elizabeth's house is set on fire. As a result of these events, infidelity becomes the least of her worries as she finds herself entangled in murder charges. A high-school yearbook photo further complicates matters for Elizabeth, pushing her deeper into danger. The motives behind these twists remain unclear, leaving Elizabeth ensnared and potentially beyond hope.
