In Factory Girl (2006), directed by George Hickenlooper, a wealthy young socialite named Edie Sedgwick drops out of Radcliffe College in 1965 to pursue her dreams of becoming an it-girl in New York City. As Edie's fame grows, she becomes a muse for Warhol and the face of his films, but her reckless lifestyle begins to take its toll. She struggles with substance abuse, mental health issues, and an unrequited love for Warhol, leading to a downward spiral that ultimately results in tragedy.
