Carole and her husband Eddie are a young, happily-married couple living in New York City. They spice up their marriage by engaging in partner-swapping with another couple, Anna and Pete, forming a swinging foursome. When Carole's conservative widowed mother, Jennifer, comes to stay with them, she initially disapproves of their unconventional lifestyle, being unaware of her daughter's open relationship.
