A group of college students is hired to help open an aviation museum on an abandoned U.S. military airbase. While working there, they accidentally unearth an ancient artifact which unleashes an evil spirit. The spirit possesses them one by one, causing each host to kill off the rest. However, there's a discrepancy in how this possession and killing spree starts: according to some sources, it begins immediately after finding the artifact, while others suggest it only happens when Navy pilot Hank Campbell goes insane and murders his fellow fliers after hiding the artifact somewhere in the plane.
