Emily Bergl was born to an Irish mother and English architect father in Milton Keynes, England, but moved to Chicago as a child, developing a lack of British accent. She attended Glenbrook South High School and Grinnell College, graduating Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in English and Theater. Bergl's big break came with the lead role in 'The Rage: Carrie 2' (1999). She has appeared in various TV shows like 'Gilmore Girls', 'CSI: Miami', 'Medium', 'Law & Order: Criminal Intent', 'NYPD Blue', and 'Star Trek: Enterprise'.
