Sam, a convicted felon on the run, stumbles upon the farmland owned by a recently widowed woman named Ann. As he hides out on her property to avoid capture, Sam witnesses the ruthless contractor Maurice Pelmont trying to seize Ann's land through intimidation and force. Driven by guilt over his past actions and stirred by Ann's plight, Sam decides to help her fight against Pelmont's injustices. With Ann's reluctant acceptance, they form an unlikely alliance, leading to a tense confrontation between Sam and Pelmont's henchmen. As their resistance grows stronger, Sam also finds himself drawn to Ann romantically. However, his past begins to catch up with him when bounty hunters are hired to track him down. In the thrilling climax, Sam must protect Ann and her farm while confronting his own demons.
