After her husband Chris's suicide following his job loss in Beverly Hills, Ann seeks revenge against the man who fired him and the woman who got the promotion he wanted, Nicole Garrett. She first kills Karina, the Garretts' au pair, hiding the body before insinuating herself into their lives under the guise of 'Anna Johnson', a caring housekeeper. Once trusted by the family, Ann begins manipulating them for her revenge scheme. She seduces Scott, Nicole's husband and David, their son, while encouraging Darla, their rebellious teenage daughter, to engage in risky behavior with her boyfriend. Simultaneously, she substitutes Nicole's insulin with a slow-acting poison. The question remains if anyone will uncover Ann's true intentions before her intricate revenge plot is complete.
