Leelee Sobieski, born Liliane Rudabet Gloria Elsveta Sobieski on June 10, 1983, is an American actress known for her roles in films and television. She gained recognition at a young age for her performance in 'Deep Impact' (1998) and received critical acclaim for her portrayal of Joan of Arc in the 1999 TV movie 'Joan of Arc', earning her an Emmy nomination. Sobieski also earned two Golden Globe nominations, one for 'Joan of Arc' and another for the 2001 TV movie 'Uprising'. In 'In a Dark Place', arts teacher Anna Veigh is hired by Mr. Laing to be governess to his children, Flora and Miles. Anna believes the spirits of former housekeeper Peter Quint and governess Miss Jessel are haunting the children. She aims to help them confront these spirits to free their souls.
