Natasha Richardson (1963-2009) was an English actress known for her roles in stage and film. Born into the prominent Redgrave acting family, she is best recognized for playing Mary Shelley ('Patty Hearst') in feature films. Richardson earned critical acclaim and multiple awards, including a Tony Award for Best Performance by a Leading Actress in a Musical for 'Cabaret'. Notable works include 'The Handmaid's Tale' (1990), 'Nell' (1994), 'The Parent Trap' (1998), and 'Maid in Manhattan' (2002). She was married to actor Liam Neeson from 1994 until her death. Richardson tragically passed away in 2009 after a head injury sustained during a skiing accident.

ストーリー
In a dystopian future formerly known as the United States, Kate, a fertile woman, is sentenced to become a Handmaid due to her attempt to escape. Her new role is to bear children for influential men whose wives are infertile due to pollution. After rigorous training by 'Aunt' Lydia, Kate is assigned to the Commander. Meanwhile, she develops feelings for Nick, the Commander's chauffeur. As Kate navigates her new life and relationship with Nick, a resistance movement against the regime begins.
