In a dystopian future, 'the Arena' serves as a brutal gladiatorial arena where men with an 'aggression-gene', who no longer wish to live, compete in fights to the death. These fights are televised for commercial gain. Temmink, one of these participants, initially seeks only to end his life but finds unexpected emotional connections after winning his first fight.
