Carmen Electra, born Tara Leigh Patrick on April 20, 1972, in Sharonville, Ohio, is an American glamour model, actress, television personality, singer, dancer, and sex symbol. She gained fame for her appearances in Playboy magazine, MTV's Singled Out, Baywatch (as Leilani 'Lani' McKenzie), dancing with the Pussycat Dolls, and various parody films including Scary Movie and Meet the Spartans. Carmen is of Irish, German, and Cherokee ancestry. She started her professional career as a dancer at Kings Island amusement park in Ohio before moving to California and signing a recording contract with Prince's Paisley Park Records, adopting the stage name Carmen Electra.
