Teresa Ann Savoy, born on 18 July 1955 and raised in England, was an actress known for her roles in Italian films despite having fled home at age 16 to live in a hippie community in Sicily. She began acting at age 18 with 'Le farò da padre' (1974), followed by notable roles like Baroness Mary Vetsera in 'Private Vices, Public Pleasures' (1975) and Drusilla in the controversial 'Caligula' (1979). Savoy appeared in several other films before her death from cancer on 9 January 2017 in Milan, Italy.

In ancient Rome, 37 A.D., Emperor Tiberius lies on his deathbed, his reign marked by depravity and insanity. His nephew, Gaius Augustus Germanicus, known as Caligula, is summoned from his military duties to the imperial palace on Capri. After Tiberius' murder, Caligula ascends to the throne and declares his beloved sister and lover, Julia Drusilla, as his equal, sparking outrage among the Senate.
