ストーリー
In 'Walkabout', a geologist takes his teenage daughter and young son into the Australian outback under the guise of a picnic. However, he intends to abandon them there after shooting himself, an attempt at suicide that fails. The siblings are left stranded alone in the wilderness with only their clothes, some non-perishable food, a transistor radio, and a picnic cloth. They encounter an Aboriginal boy on his walkabout, a rite of passage into manhood where he lives off the land for months. Despite the language barrier, the Australian boy helps them survive in the harsh outback conditions.
