In 'Un poison violent', Anna returns home from her Catholic boarding school for the holidays to find that her father has left the family. Her mother, devastated by this turn of events, finds solace in the company of the local priest, who happens to be a childhood friend. Anna, however, feels drawn towards Pierre, a free-spirited teenager who seems indifferent to religious matters.
