A Swedish family consisting of Tomas, Ebba, and their two children embark on a skiing vacation in the French Alps. During lunch at a mountain restaurant, an avalanche starts, causing diners to flee. Ebba tries to protect their children while Tomas, initially unaware of his family's whereabouts, runs for safety. Although the avalanche proves to be non-lethal, the incident shakes the family's dynamics.
