American couple Jake and Tina are living in an expensive London hotel while Jake's career as a commodities broker stalls due to a dock strike. When they can't afford their lavish lifestyle, Jake suggests they file an insurance claim on Tina's valuable Henry Moore sculpture to pay off their debt.
