Loverboy follows the story of Denise, a seventeen-year-old girl living in a poor neighborhood in the Netherlands who becomes discontented with her life. Her situation changes when she meets Michael, a charming nineteen-year-old who promises her the luxurious and romantic life she desires. However, Michael has ulterior motives. He manipulates Denise into prostitution, convincing her that it's necessary to maintain their expensive lifestyle together. As Denise becomes entangled in this dangerous world, she begins to realize Michael's true intentions too late.
