Detective Trent Jacobson (Chris Mitchum) is investigating grisly murders linked to crime boss Gus Gruman's associates. Gruman's daughter Mona (Joette Rhodes) is secretly dating Trent's nephew Donny (David Michie). When a mysterious blonde woman becomes the prime suspect, Trent becomes obsessed with catching her. Meanwhile, Donny starts an affair with a brunette (Julie Strain), leading to his car being sabotaged and him ending up hospitalized.
