In 1816 at Lake Geneva's Villa Diodati, Lord Byron hosts Percy and Mary Shelley, along with Claire Clairmont, his half-sister. One stormy night, they decide to entertain each other with supernatural tales. Under the influence of drugs, likely opium, they engage in a séance where strange occurrences begin to take place.
