概要
Armstrong (1998), directed by Menahem Golan, is an action-thriller set in Moscow during the height of the Cold War. The film follows former Navy SEAL Rod Armstrong, who is now a freelance military trainer in Russia. When his old mentor Bob Taylor arrives with his wife Susan on a supposedly friendly visit but harboring a secret mission to track nuclear missiles seen leaving a Russian base, things quickly turn deadly.
The movie explores themes of betrayal, loyalty, and the blurred lines between allies during times of political tension. It also touches on the dangers of unchecked power, as exemplified by the ruthless Colonel Zukov who commands Armstrong's trainees.
