Apnea follows Chris over the course of a week as she refuses to sleep due to her fear of sleep apnea and unconsciousness. Staying awake for several nights, Chris seeks a sense of purpose in life that she feels eluded her during her daytime hours. This pursuit leads her to live on the edge, both physically and existentially, dragging those around her into her restless state.
