Anne-Marie Cadieux, born September 23, 1961, is an accomplished Canadian actress known for her versatility and intensity on stage, screen, and television. After graduating from the University of Ottawa with a BA in 1984, she began her career at the Théâtre de la Vieille 17 and National Arts Centre under André Brassard's direction. Her notable stage roles include Mademoiselle Julie, Electra, Elizabeth I in Marie Stuart (for which she won the prix Gascon-Roux for best actress), and Merteuil in Heiner Müller's Quartet. She has also won the prix Gascon-Roux for her performances in La dame aux camélias and Le dieu du carnage. Cadieux has appeared in films like Robert Lepage's Le confessionnal, Charles Binamé's Lecœur au poing, François Delisle’s Le bonheur c’est une chanson triste, and 'Toi'.
